OFFICE CALLS

When you visit our clinic for the first time, we will have you fill out an
information sheet. We need to know the following about your pet:
  • Breed, age (or birthdate), sex
  • Spayed (Female) or Neutered (Male)?
  • Your pet's brand of food and quantity
  • Your pet's vaccination history
  • Any medications or supplements you give your pet
  • Any concerns you have about your pet
Next an assistant will take you and your pet back to the exam room.
Your pet will be weighed and its temperature will be taken.

Dr. Schulz or "Dr. Bev" Schoeberl will begin a comprehensive exam
to check the following:
  • Heart rate, lungs and respiration
  • Lymph nodes (5 sets)
  • Growths, tumors, cysts
  • Hair coat, skin condition
  • Ears, eyes, mouth
  • Paws, tail, genital area
  • Teeth
  • Arthritis, soreness or lameness
  • External parasites
  • Abdominal palpation (intestines, kidneys, bladder)
This will be a great opportunity to ask the doctor questions about
any changes in your pet's health or behavior. The comprehensive
exam and your pet's history give the doctor an overall picture of your
pet's current condition.
   In some situations, a
complete blood panel can help diagnose or
bring attention to a specific health concern that may not be visible
through a physical examination, alone.
